shoesenough said.

So. This going to sound WAY lame, and I almost don’t want to type it… But if there’s one thing I totally believe works in business {and life} it’s honesty and being yourself. Sooo… honestly I’ve wanted to have a wedding featured on Style me Pretty for a while… well to be absolutely honest for ages! I’m always inspired by the amazing images that grace their blog, but have been too self doubting to submit anything myself. Well, a while back I decided to give it a shot, figuring the worst that could happen is I get a big fat NO starring me back in the face.

So when I checked their blog today and saw the gorgeous Luke and Alana looking beautiful back at me I was all smiles! :)

So in case you didn’t know, fascinators are so in. They look so feminine and beautiful… even if you can’t bear the thought of walking down the aisle without a veil… get a fascinator as well to add a totally different look during bridal portraits. ;)

But then, shall I never get any older than I am now? That’ll be a comfort, one way — never to be an old woman — but then — always to have lessons to learn! - Alice

One thing I really don’t take enjoyment in is websites. For someone like me they are demanding, time consuming and BORING {!!!}. The least amount of time I have to spend doing that stuff, the better.

So a while back we began the hunt for the elusive easy, customisable and affordable solution…I knew it had to be out there somewhere in cyber space, in the world… but after much looking and many wasted $$ spent on purchasing templates and programs and software that were complicated, hard to use and lacking the prettiness we were after, I felt overwhelmed and disappointed.

Were there no other photographers like me out there who wanted the flexibility to edit and update their own website without having to be a webmaster?!…

And then I met PhotoBiz. Ahhh…PhotoBiz… A place where everything is easy… the rivers of knowledge are nicely packaged into customisable templates ripe for the picking from pretty little website trees… A place where all photographers can be happy…

As soon as we saw the intro page, we were sold. I did think it would be a bit if a pain because they are based in America. I knew I would need some kind of support to get me through the setup and was sure the time difference would mean days before anyone would get back to me. But Nope. These guys are AMAZING. There are REAL PEOPLE on the other end of the phone and they are kind, “I know you’re not a web wizard so I won’t use technical words with you people” too!

So dear photographer friend. If you are stuck in the “I’m sick of wasting time and lots of money on my website rutt” - you should head over and check them out. ;)

And here is Little E’s half devoured Speedy Gonzales. You gotta love how the little champ still has a smile on his face…

Have an exciting Thursday! I’ll be back later for sneak peeks…

March 10, 2010

If I had a magic travel machine that could zap me to anywhere in the world with the click of my heels, today I would be in Las Vegas. Not to play blackjack or poker till dawn, or to check out The Strip, not even to visit their Flamingo wildlife habitat. Today I would be surrounded by thousands of great and inspiring photographer minds at the WPPI conference.

It’s seems like I’m the only person on the planet not reveling in the joys of keynote speakers, trade show exhibitions, product launches and catching up with overseas photographer buddies…

So in celebration of the amazingness that I’m missing out on {sniff…sniff} I thought I’d share a list of some of the photographers and general industry people who inspire me. :)

I think her pink tartan collar adds sophistication, like maybe she’s a Harvard Law graduate?
