When we arrived at The Marriott where Michelle and Kristy {Michelle’s bridesmaid} were getting ready, I knew this wedding was going to be something special. Michelle is such a sweet, kind person. Plus she has such great style {as you can see by the number of bridal detail photos, I melted when I saw her flowers, shoes, jewels etc.} so we kinda just knew her wedding was going to be beautiful, full of love and loveliness.

Nathan perfectly compliments Michelle’s personality. Where Michelle is more quiet and reserved, Nathan is funny and outspoken. They are like Strawberries and cream… Tacos and cheese…lippy and gloss… on their own their great, but together they’re complete!

They tied the knot at Ephram Island which is SO funky! It’s like this pretty village just off the Gold Coast with an amazing lake, water features, jetty’s and pretty water front board walks. It was so nice for something different. They then followed with the reception at the super cool Darcys restaurant on the island.

Thanks again guys, enjoy honeymooning! xo

p.s. We LOVE feedabck, so please dont hesitate to leave a comment for us or Nathan and Michelle!

On Saturday we had the pleasure of photographing Michael and Andrea’s wedding at Burleigh. It was SUCH a pretty day. The ceremony was at Burleigh headland and it was so beautiful! The sky was a crystal blue…slight breeze, perfect day to get married. :) After the ceremony we headed around to Tallebudgera Creek for some bridal party snaps, then we dashed {literally… we were actually running for an impromptu sunset shot} to the North Burleigh Headland.

These guys were so great to photograph, we had so much fun! Plus, they are both absolute stunners so it made our job way too easy. :)

Thanks again for letting us share in your day guys. xo

We LOVE feedback so please don’t hesitate to leave a comment for us or Michael and Andrea!

p.s. We were busy little bees this weekend with a wedding on Sunday too, so pop back tomorrow for another sneaky peek.

Some {days}

August 18, 2009

I’m really not sure why every day isn’t like this. Every day starts relatively the same, but some days just have that extra BAM! The kind of BAM that makes you feel like you could tick off your entire weeks ‘to dos’ and conquer the world by 10am, then conger up a solution to world peace by mid afternoon to give yourself an early mark and go for a run to burn all that extra energy. You know, those days when you feel like you could soar off Centre Point Tower and not have a worry in the world. Hmmm… maybe I’m just on a sugar high. Either way, i wish I was this inspired every morning.

Hopefully your Tuesday is starting even more spectacularly!

Here are a few pics from the weekend… Brett got a new board so much of his past week has been spent bonding with it, leaving Ella and me on the beach to our own devices for hours on end. The good thing is I now have enough guilt credit saved up for a new lens - YAY! {that sounds rather bratty doesn’t it…I swear, I’m not really that horrible}

Don’t let her cuteness fool you, she is quite the monster when she wants to be. Just check out those K-9s! Elyse and lil’ Dalilah came to visit. This was probably the only time poor Dalilah managed to pin Ella… with her cute, stumpy little legs.

the {re-location}

August 13, 2009

It’s a familiar place… especially since knowing Brett. The fluorescent lights, the turquoise waiting chairs, crumpled trashy mages, screaming kids… the darting curious glances… all what you would expect on a Tuesday night at the Tweed Hospital emergency waiting room. This time, for a change, we aren’t here for one of Brett’s sports injuries - but for my little sis- Elyse!

So, it’s probably a dangerous choice for two klutzy chicks like us, but we happen to make up half of the middle-of-the-ladder “Allies” volleyball team. Its pretty much all fun and games for Elyse and me, but the boys take it a little more seriously. Anyway, tonight we were playing “way cool” - especially Elyse. She was popin’ it up, flickin’ it over, serving like a superstar… until she hit ‘that‘ ball. It was one of those shots that was doomed from the start, but Elyse took a slug at it anyway. Unfortunately, as expected, the ball went soaring off like a skitteling UFO into the next court. But then, next thing Elyse comes running up to Brett laughing {yes, LAUGHING!}, showing him her cupped hands like she was enclosing a captured ladybeetle. I had no idea anything was wrong until I saw the expression of complete horror on Brett’s face. As I came running over it was obvious that Elyse had whole-heartedly dislocated her finger, popping it out to a nearly perfect 45 degree angle. Just looking at it drove shivers up my spine. Really.

We ran off the court, gathered everything up in two seconds flat and carpooled our way to the hospital. Elyse was SUCH a trooper, I really couldn’t believe it! After all the X-rays and the actual ‘re-location’ I think her eyes only welled maybe once or twice. And that was including when they tried yanking it back WITHOUT any pain relief!

It definitely didn’t look fun. At all. But she survived.

Now Brett and Ben are stuck with me as their only chick for the rest of the season. Sucks to be them! :P

Here is a pic I snapped of the X-ray with my phone - OUCHIES!

Nick & Dionne {wedding!}

August 10, 2009

We are fiiiiiinaly back in the office so I thought I would get nick and Dionne’s sneaky peek up from Saturday. They got married at the Gold Coast Botanic Gardens, so-so-SO pretty! Nick and Dionne are such a sweet couple. Totally in love with each other and their four-legged, ‘baby’ LouLou. They especially made time in their photography schedule to go home for some photos with her - SO CUTE!

Thanks for letting us share in your day guys, you were a tone of fun! xo

I think he {despises} us.

August 10, 2009

Maybe he wants a new family… maybe he just wants to retire and can not bear to move even one more single mile. Or maybe he is sick and screaming out for some much needed quiet time… I don’t know. What I do know is that I am getting way over his stubborn tantrums that leave me high and dry, having to re-adjust my schedule.

As I write this we are stuck at the corner store… waiting for a tow so our ridiculously demanding car can hitch a ride to the workshop that we were *JUST!* on our way to. We called in to pick up some supplies for the day because we were going to be stranded at the studio, with the car at the shop. But he decided this would be his resting place… so here we are.

One of our besties, Pete, happens to work at THE BEST workshop around, Alden Automotive. So everything is sorted… we are just waiting with NOTHING to do. Brett is deliberating between which would be worse, the starter-motor or the alternator and justifying to me how we really need to seriously start looking at the new Hilux that has been on his wish list. Ella on the other hand, is blissfully oblivious. Doing the usual… exploring every nook and cranny around the car like it was a newly discovered planet before nestling onto the back dash for a nap.

I had SOOOOOOOO-O-O-O many plans for today! The first thing I thought of when I woke this morning was planning my weeks ‘to-do’ list. I was so pumped to get the week started with an enthusiastic “BANG”, but now even getting to the studio feels like a lifetime away. Oh, the insignificant perils of the car-dependent modern world.

Well, I hope your week got off to more of a productive start. Wish me luck!

And because Ella is just way-too-cute here she is. :)

So finally I get to post the sneak peek - YAY!

Last Saturday we had the huge pleasure of covering David and Danielle’s wedding at Woodlands in their open-air chapel. This is such a PRETTY place! Think pine tress, rolling hills, vineyards and an icy-looking glazed lake. (It kind of reminds me of where Bambi and thumper would have lived if they were from down under… I could also picture Snow White and her seven dwarfs passing through from time to time.) So, needless to say, the day was BE-U-TIFUL! Dave and Danielle were absolute starts and made the day flow just perfectly. Not to mention their families were just so nice and friendly, what more could you ask for..?

So, to the sneaky peek…
