I must say, I tend to get a little-too-excited sometimes. I so often come back from a wedding and feel the intense *NEED* to start editing as soon as I walk in the door. Luckily we don’t have our office at home anymore, so that just leaves me scrolling through my memory card endlessly in bed until my eyes just HAVE to close. Only to keep tossing and turning throughout the night in excited anticipation of editing first thing the next morning, which is usually Sunday…oh, the joys of being a “bury-that-bone” kinda person.
So sometimes, I get too excited the night before and have the same trouble, and Tuesday night was one of those nights! Not only did I have the prospect of a beautiful dress, a picturesque stream, an amazing couple who almost feel like family, and a Road trip {Sweeeeeet!}, to think about all night… there were also going to be HORSES {!!!} I was extremely, totally, infatuatedly EXCITED! This session has been in the pipeline for quite some time now, so to fiiiiiiiiiiinaly have it come into fruition was awesome!
Allen and Alecia are the kind of people who after knowing them for 5 mins, make you feel like you’ve known them since you were two. They are truly the sweetest people you could ever hope to meet. And so much FUN! We first met them a few months ago for their engagement session, and because their wedding is less than a month away {wooo-hoooo!} and Alecia has a special “Trash dress” we thought it would be fun to do the TTD before the wedding so they could use the pics for some of the wedding details. So we hit the road, and tripped out to Rathdowney. Which is kinda near Beaudesert. Which is kinda very inland from Nerang. Bonnie, Our Nav-chick was a little off, leading us needlessly up to the top of Mt. Tamborine and back down {?!} but the drive was BEAUTIFUL! Seriously, I couldn’t stop going on about it. Its amazing how diverse the country is, you could have mistaken some of the scenery for Victoria.
So, here is a little sneaky peek from the trashing. And a major, extra-special thanks to Donna, Alicia’s Maid of honor for helping out the entire day and for helping me overcome my fear of horses with a little… I don’t think you could really call it a ‘ride’ so I’ll call it a ‘horse-sit’. lol :)
And to anyone out there who has even been considering a trash the dress session, I definitely say go for it! Having trashed my own wedding dress, I cant even begin to tell you how fun it is. Really! The photos from a TTD are so very different to your wedding day. Plus, you don’t actually have to “TRASH” your dress, we can be as subtle or destructive as you wish. Or, you could do what Alecia did and get a special ‘trash dress’ off eBay. ;)
Anyway, enough of my 1000 mile an hour ranting, here are the photos.

This one is quite possibly my fave of the day, taken by Brett…

Thanks again for SOOOO much fun guys! Cant wait for the big day! xo
