{Nicole & Chad}

December 11, 2009

Nicole and Chad wanted to something a little different for the engagement session so they decided to turn it into a trash session!!! Naturally I was ecstatic! Nicole purchased her trash dress off e-bay {gotta love eBay for trashings}, her sis made her a trash veil and we hit the surf.

{Richard & Bhee}

December 11, 2009

A day full of laughter, love and happy moments. Last Friday we had such a ball covering Richard & Bhee’s wedding at Mantra, Salt. Mantra is so perfect for beach weddings. It’s got gorgeous beaches all around {not overcrowded like the GC}, a totally stylin’ venue and it’s all in one place. … What more could you ask for…LUV it!

Anyway, i’m in a bit of a rush out the door, so gotta keep it short. Onto the sneakin…

In Pilipino tradition, the guys wore THE most decadent hand embroidered Pineapple shirts… meaning they are made from Pineapples, not meaning Richard wore a pineapple boob- tube, lol. You know, with all the lines of elastic… looks like a pineapple…?

Jackie & Graeme

December 7, 2009

If I had to describe Jackie and Graeme in one word it would be Stylin’. They are so hot, so funky, so refined, so STYLISH that it should seriously be illegal. I knew their day would be divine, but my concept of divineness was totally surpassed as soon as I saw Jackie in her gown. She is absolutely STUNNING.

Jackie got ready at The Wave Resort, the ceremony was held at Burleigh Headland, photos around Burleigh Beach and their reception was at Bond University… which leads me to more excited typing… Gaaaawsh! - Bond Uni! Seriously, I will beg - on my knees - in the dirt - for another of our couples to have a wedding there. It is so cool. Like cool American university cool. like I could shoot there all day cool. please, please PLEASE get married there! lol - jk. But really, it is awesome.

Anyway, to the sneakin’…

{Caitlin & Wade}

December 3, 2009

Last Saturday we had Caitlin & Wade’s beautiful wedding at Robina Woods. It was a REALLY hot day, so the air-con in the chapel was like heaven.

Caitlin was the perfect bride. She is super sweet-natured and friendly so naturally, the day was perfect. And Wade, well his personality isn’t so ‘petite’ it would probably be better classed as outrageous and funny. REALLY funny. Some of the faces he would randomly pull during a quiet, romanic moment seriously cracked me up! Like the signing pic in the slideshow, there’s plenty of where that came from, lol.

Anyway, to the peek…

{day}

December 1, 2009

We often drive. I’m not even sure why but we always seem to be driving somewhere - but nowhere at all. Looking for new tracks, exploring… getting lost. So we ended up where we always seem to end up - around Pottsville/Cabba/Hastings. We usually don’t really get out of the car… just cruise. And today I found out why. It was H.O.T.T. - H.O.T {LOVE clueless}

I decided to go all ‘explorer - photographer’ - but it backfired. I had it all planned. I was going to have a picnic. At the beach. With B&E {lol, i like the way that rolls} and take photos. When we got there it was like a fan forced oven on overdrive with wind whipping baked sand over EVERYTHING. So I ended up carrying a sandy E in one arm and a very-not-wanting-to-be-sandy camera in the other arm and trekked through a baked desert. Put simply it was exhausting and ugly. I tried to put up a fight and took E down to the water  - but it conquered me. Before I even got a chance to whip out the camera I was forced to retrieve to the car. It sucked. I was REALLY up for playing around with a few different ideas.

Anyway, we ended up going home to the sweet, sweet air-con so I just had to make do and have some fun with the camera there.

ps. Something amazingly cool that I read the other day. If you don’t have a macro lens you can kind of still get some macro-ish shots. All you do is take the lens off and flip around so that the lens glass is touching the camera mount and you just gotta get really close to find the focus. oh, and turn the aperture ring to your choice, but off auto. I forget where i read it, if I remember I’ll post the link. ;)

{Krystal & Dylan}

December 1, 2009

Wow, long time between posts! This is the amazing Krystal and Dylan who we met up with last Sunday for their engagement session. There were actually fires nearby during the shoot so we had nice, warm light… sweet. :)

Get sneakin…

Dylan refers to Krystal’s ring as his boat. As in, what would have been if Krystal hadn’t wandered along - lol!

I kinda think Krystal looks a bit like… whats her name… the chick that played Sally on Home and Away…Kate somone?
