{Janelle & Dan}

February 18, 2010

They met at 16. Dan was a friend of Janelle’s brother, so he was always just there. It wasn’t until they finally got chatting that they hit it off – big time. But, with life flickering changes and moving so fast, as it does at 16, they parted ways.

They experienced life, and although they weren’t together, they still saved a warm little corner of their heart for each other.

All the while, Janelle’s brother had seen how they had both molded into inspiring, beautiful people individually, and could only imagine how PERFECT they could be together - again. So when Janelle had her 21st birthday, he decided to push the stars into alignment and invite Dan.

And the rest, they say, is history… awww…

Janelle & Dan were married at St. Margaret’s Chapel at the Gold Coast Arts Centre. We then headed to the Gold Coast Botanical Garden’s for bridal photos and the reception at North Burleigh Surf Club.

{say what you need to say}

February 3, 2010

“Say” - John Mayer

Take all of your wasted honor
Every little past frustration
Take all of your so-called problems,
Better put ‘em in quotations

Say what you need to say

Walking like a one man army
Fighting with the shadows in your head
Living out the same old moment
Knowing you’d be better off instead,
If you could only . . .

Say what you need to say …

Have no fear for giving in
Have no fear for giving over
You’d better know that in the end
Its better to say too much
Then never say what you need to say again

Even if your hands are shaking
And your faith is broken
Even as the eyes are closing
Do it with a heart wide open

Say what you need to say

pretty thing

{Chad & Nicole}

February 2, 2010

Byron weddings are always something special. Its nice mixing it up a bit and shooting in new, pretty little places. Chad and Nicole were married at St Columba’s Anglican church - I was swooning over the sheer splendor of the chapel and grounds as soon as we pulled in the street. As in totally head-over-heels in LOVE. I don’t feel like i’m doing it justice… but lets just say that if I could shoot only at that one location for the rest of my life, I would die a smiling photographer.

The girls got ready at Beach Suites {such a gorgeous location}, and their hair and makeup done by Ellie Wright. The girls from Ellie Wright are such a talent, they turned the girls into “glamorous versions of themselves” which I thought was really awesome. :)

We also had the pleasure of working with Geoff from Motion Art - finally! We hadn’t worked with him before so it was cool to finally get round to it. He lived up to his super star reputation and did a fantastic job. :)

The reception was at Byron Bay surf club and was so stylin. I’m not even sure who was responsible for the super hotness of the room, but when I find out i’ll add a link. ;)

Yep - Ella is actually looking at the camera! The noises that Brett was required to make to get her to look - priceless.
